Naga Army

Longvibu’s office had previously notified your esteemed office regarding disciplinary measures against Naga Army officers involved in mutiny, citing various sections of the Naga Army Rules and Regulation (NARR) dated October 3, 2023, through memo No: 30-01/Lett/LO/NA-23.

However, prior to taking concrete actions against the mutineers, an open letter dated March 30, 2024, addressed to His Excellency the Yaruiwo, penned by Deputy Longvibu of Naga Army, Lieutenant General Absolom Raman-MC, and 13 senior Naga Army officers, emerged, openly declaring their defiance against the authority of the Longvibu of Naga Army, an act deemed unlawful.

Upon careful scrutiny, it was evident that several signatures on the open letter were forged and inconsistent with previous ones, suggesting the involvement of a select few individuals driven by personal motives.Denouncing cooperation and disobeying the command of the Longvibu, Naga Army, as expressed in the open letter to His Excellency, constitutes mutiny and contravenes the fundamental principles of the Naga nation.

Reports indicate that Deputy Longvibu, Lieutenant General Absolom Raman-MC, orchestrated a military coup on December 7, 2023, resulting in the disarmament and capture of the Southern Command and Central National Security Command (CNSC) of the Naga Army, a blatant act of rebellion against both the Army authority and the government. Another coup attempt transpired in Hoyat village, Eastern Nagalim, on February 26, 2024, where Deputy Longvibu, Lieutenant General Absolom Raman-MC, alongside 35 armed personnel, endeavored to raid the Vida Mountain Division Peace Mission Command, Naga Army.

The challenge posed to the Standard of Operation Procedure (SoP) for the Eastern Flank on October 3, 2019, by Deputy Longvibu, Lieutenant General Absolom Raman-MC, was considered highly unbecoming of an officer of his stature and position, casting doubt on its legitimacy and supremacy.

These series of actions, including the initiation of a signature campaign against the Longvibu, Naga Army, are collectively viewed as treasonous and necessitate stringent disciplinary measures against the errant officers to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
